Join us for a sparkling night of comedy in London’s West End, with all proceeds going to charity.

Eastside’s annual fundraising gala, April Foolery returns to London’s West End.

In celebration of Eastside’s 30th Anniversary, this special night will feature some of the UK’s most beloved comedians for a hilarious evening of stand up comedy at the Criterion Theatre. Performers include: Hugh Dennis is a comedian, presenter, actor, writer, impressionist and voice-over artist, best known for being one half of Punt and Dennis with comedy partner Steve Punt. He played Pete Brockman, the father in the BBC One sitcom Outnumbered and, since 2014, has played Toby in the long-running sitcom Not Going Out. Hugh is also known for featuring in Mock the Week, Taskmaster and No Time To Die. Simon Brodkin is a comedian known for pranking the likes of Theresa May and Donald Trump, and starred in Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer (Channel 4), which was nominated for ‘Best Documentary’ at the Monte Carlo TV Festival. Jenny Eclair is regarded as one of the country’s funniest women. Her trademark high-octane performances and earthy, eyebrow raising routines, helped her to become the first woman to win the coveted Perrier Award. Steve Punt is a comedy writer, comedian and actor. Along with Hugh Dennis, he is part of the double act Punt and Dennis and presenter of BBC Radio 4 satirical news programme The Now Show. Rachel Parris is an award-winning musical comedian, actor and improviser, and is best known for both her viral satirical segments on The Mash Report and Late Night Mash which have had over 100 million views. Rajiv Karia is an award winning stand-up comedian, writer and actor. In 2019, Rajiv was shortlisted for BBC New Comedian of the Year. Rajiv was the winner of the prestigious BBC Contract Writer Bursary 2021. Alasdair Beckett-King is a renowned stand-up comedian and animator. With his offbeat intelligent style, Alasdair is an authentic middle class pacifist who’s biblical appearance and knowledge of 19th century magicians has made him an unforgettable act on the live comedy circuit.
